Infused waters are so easy to put together. The possibilities are only limited by your imagination. Staying hydrated during these hot, muggy/parching days of summer is so important. If adding fruit and veggie “essence” to water makes you drink more…do it!

Drink this Infused Water before, during and after you work out.

Watermelon or Cucumber alone are two of my favorites. So how could I go wrong using them both together. Well, I couldn’t! These two together are a thirst quenching and refreshing combo.

All you have to do is Chop the watermelon and slice the Cucumber (you could chop the cucumber too). Add water and ice. Let it “steep” in the fridge for 45 minutes and you’ll have yourself the most delicious water. You’ll be amazed at how much flavor gets infused in such a short period of time. Every time I pour a glass, I replenish the water. The cucumber and watermelon will keep infusing for a couple of days. They might look a bit wilty, but they’re still OK.

Prep Time: 50 minutes

Yield: 8 Cups

Pitcher Ingredients:
2 cups Chopped Watermelon
1/2 Cucumber, sliced
8 cups water
Ice

Pitcher Ingredients Prep:

Chop the Watermelon into big chunks. Slice the Cucumber into 1/4 inch rounds. Just for the look of it, I peeled the cucumber to make stripes. You don’t have to do that, but it is pretty! Add water and Ice. Refrigerate for 45 minutes.

Serve and enjoy.

You’re right, Linda. I’m thinking a Honeydew/Kiwi combo might hit the spot. I kept refilling my pitcher for about 4 days. Then tossed the fruit. Ready for another batch.

Thanks Amanda. The Hubby can’t stop raving about this combo. Better even that citrus. It’s been two days now of replenishing the water on the same watermelon and cucumber and it’s still fresh and delicious.
